The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Guests Program for Umrah and Visit has recently welcomed its first group of guests in Madinah. This initiative, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, aims to provide a rich cultural experience for those performing Umrah and visiting the holy sites. The program is designed to enhance the understanding of Islamic heritage and the significance of these sacred locations.
During their visit, the guests toured the King Fahd Glorious Qur’an Printing Complex, where they were introduced to the intricate process of printing the Holy Qur’an. They explored various technical and administrative departments, gaining insights into the preservation efforts and the translation of the Qur’an into multiple languages. This experience not only highlights the importance of the Holy Qur’an but also showcases the dedication of the Kingdom in making it accessible to Muslims around the world.
The first group consisted of 250 distinguished Islamic figures from 12 different countries, contributing to a total of 1,000 Umrah performers from 66 nations. This diverse gathering reflects the global nature of the Islamic community and the Kingdom's commitment to fostering unity among Muslims. As part of the program, the guests will be divided into four groups, each experiencing the rich cultural offerings of Madinah.
In addition to the Qur’an Printing Complex, the guests visited significant historical sites such as the Battle of Uhud site, Mount Al-Ramah, and the Uhud Martyrs’ Cemetery. These locations are pivotal in Islamic history, and the guests learned about the events that shaped the early days of Islam. Such visits not only educate the pilgrims but also deepen their spiritual connection to their faith.
Throughout the program, the guests had the opportunity to meet with imams of the Prophet’s Mosque and renowned scholars, further enriching their experience. Many participants expressed their heartfelt gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their generous hospitality. Hanafi bin Hamza from Malaysia praised the facilities, while Norasni Binti Muhammad Suh expressed her appreciation for the program's organization.
