The National Procurement Commission, led by Deputy Prime Minister Baradar, approved 14 projects worth 4 billion Afghanis, funded by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, to enhance infrastructure and public services in the country.

The National Procurement Commission, headed by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, recently convened to assess various projects. Out of the 24 projects reviewed, 14 were approved, totaling a value of 4 billion Afghanis. Moreover, 6 projects were granted extensions, while one contract was terminated. The Directorate of National Procurement has been tasked with re-submitting one project for open bidding and conducting a thorough evaluation of two projects, with a subsequent report to be presented to the Commission's leadership.

The endorsed and extended projects cover a range of endeavors, including the finalization of the Kabul-Kandahar highway, the provision of electrical equipment for Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat across multiple provinces, and the construction of vital roads within Kabul city. Notably, these projects are being funded by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
