The recent AGM of MACEOS introduced Dr. M Gandhi as the new President, outlining plans for market growth and collaboration. EVENTXPO 2024, part of Malaysia Business Events Week, will showcase industry trends and provide networking opportunities, supported by MyCEB.

The Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS) recently held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur. During the AGM, a new Executive Committee for the 2024-2026 term was introduced, and EVENTXPO 2024 was launched.

Dr. M Gandhi, Founder and Chairman of Bumiati Holding Sdn Bhd, was appointed as the new President of MACEOS, succeeding Francis Teo. Dr. Gandhi outlined his vision to enhance market opportunities and collaborate with government and industry associations, especially with Malaysia's upcoming chairmanship of ASEAN in 2025.

The new Executive Committee lineup includes key positions such as Vice Presidents for Innovation, Development, Education, and Advocacy, along with an Honourary Secretary and Treasurer. Ordinary Committee Members represent various event management companies.

EVENTXPO 2024, scheduled for August 19-21 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, is part of the Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW) and will showcase the latest products, services, technology, and trends in the business events sector. The event aims to facilitate networking, knowledge sharing, and career opportunities.

Francis Teo, the outgoing President, expressed enthusiasm for EVENTXPO 2024, emphasizing its role in fostering innovation and collaboration within the industry. The event will feature workshops, talks by experts, a careers fair, and the MACEOS Youth Challenge to encourage youth participation.

Azman Tambi Chik, CEO of MyCEB, commended the new MACEOS leadership and reiterated MyCEB's support for the growth of the business events industry. The AGM marked a new beginning for MACEOS, promising a dynamic and innovative future, with EVENTXPO 2024 as a key highlight.
