Ahsan Zafar Syed appointed as Engro Corporation's President & CEO

Engro Corporation, a leading Pakistani conglomerate, has announced the appointment of Ahsan Zafar Syed as its new President & CEO. Ahsan brings with him a wealth of experience, having spent over three decades in various leadership roles within the organization.

Ahsan Zafar Syed joined Engro in 1991 as a young engineer and has since worked across multiple sectors, including petrochemicals, energy, and food & agriculture. His most recent role was leading Engro's fertilizer business, where he successfully positioned the company as the most valuable fertilizer entity on the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

During his tenure as CEO of the Energy vertical, Ahsan played a crucial role in the development of Pakistan's Thar coal reserves, contributing to the operationalization of a 660MW power plant at the mine mouth.
