Jerry Inzerillo appointed UN Tourism ambassador

Saudi historical destination developer Diriyah Co.’s CEO, Jerry Inzerillo, has been appointed as a UN Tourism ambassador, joining the likes of Lionel Messi, Georgio Armani, and Placido Domingo. The appointment was made during the UN Tourism’s sustainability week in New York, recognizing Inzerillo's dedication to innovative design and development strategies that benefit local communities and create new tourism destinations.

UN Tourism Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili expressed pride in welcoming Inzerillo as the newest tourism ambassador, highlighting his role in amplifying the organization's messages on tourism's potential to drive change and sustainable growth. Diriyah, situated near Riyadh, features the UNESCO World Heritage Site of At-Turaif, set to accommodate 100,000 residents, workers, students, and visitors with diverse cultural, entertainment, retail, and hospitality offerings.

Developing destinations like Diriyah aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goals for economic diversification. Inzerillo emphasized the responsibility that comes with working in the rapidly growing tourism sector, stressing the need for innovative and impactful developments. Diriyah Co.’s strategies prioritize sustainability, preservation, and conservation, aiming to enhance the well-being of the local community.
