Hydrexia and ISHSB have agreed to establish a joint venture for developing hydrogen refueling stations and storage solutions in Malaysia. This collaboration aims to meet the country's hydrogen development requirements and cater to the growing demands in the region.

During the recent Asia Pacific Green Hydrogen Conference & Exhibition 2024 in Malaysia, Hydrexia Borneo Sdn Bhd and ICE SEDCE Hydrogen Sdn Bhd (ISHSB) have agreed to establish a joint venture for developing hydrogen refueling stations (HRS) and storage solutions in Malaysia. This collaboration aims to combine the expertise and market advantages of both companies to meet the country's hydrogen development requirements.

The joint venture between Hydrexia and ISHSB will focus on operating and maintaining HRS and hydrogen storage solutions for the Rembus depot of the Automated Rapid Transit System, which is part of the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) project. The partnership will be implemented in phases, with a focus on exploring business opportunities in HRS and hydrogen storage utilizing Hydrexia's technology and experience.

This joint venture marks a strategic move for Hydrexia to expand its presence in the Malaysian market, following a recent partnership with Lestari. By collaborating with local partners like ISHSB, Hydrexia aims to cater to the growing hydrogen business demands in the region.

Abdul Jalil Maraicar, Group Managing Director of ICE Petroleum representing ISHSB, also shared optimism about the joint venture's ability to address the demand for HRS and hydrogen storage in the local market.

Hydrexia has been actively expanding its operations in Southeast Asia, securing various partnerships and contracts in 2024. The company remains committed to providing technology solutions for its global customers. ISHSB, a joint venture between ICE Petroleum and SEDC Energy, is focused on developing hydrogen production, storage, and refueling systems in Sarawak, Malaysia, under the KUTS project.

Hydrexia Holding Limited, a prominent hydrogen technology provider based in China, specializes in solutions for hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and applications worldwide. With a strong focus on research and development, Hydrexia aims to meet the technology needs of the global hydrogen industry value chain effectively.

The agreement between Hydrexia and ISHSB to establish a joint venture for hydrogen refueling stations in Malaysia signifies a significant step towards meeting the country's hydrogen development requirements.
