Hygenco and Ameropa collaborate to produce green ammonia in India, aiming to boost exports and support global sustainability efforts.

Hygenco Green Energies and Ameropa have joined forces to potentially provide green ammonia from Hygenco's upcoming Green Ammonia plant in India. This partnership aims to enhance green ammonia exports from India, supporting the global transition towards renewable energy and sustainable farming practices.

The Green Ammonia production facility by Hygenco will be situated at the Gopalpur port in Odisha. The initial phase is set to achieve a capacity of 600 TPD by 2027, with plans for expansion to 1,200 MTPD by early 2028. The project is projected to reach its full production capacity of 1.1 MTPA by 2030.

Hygenco, a pioneer in the Indian green energy sector, is currently the sole company operating a commercial green hydrogen plant in the country. With ambitions to invest $2.5 billion in Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia projects over the next three years, Hygenco is committed to driving sustainable energy solutions.
