Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has reclaimed the title of the world's second richest man, surpassing Elon Musk once again. Bezos' net worth now stands at $202.4 billion following a $5.4 billion increase in stock value. Meanwhile, Musk's wealth has risen to $197.7 billion after a $11 million boost. Musk briefly held the second spot after a successful trip to China in April, but Bezos has now edged back ahead.

The ongoing battle for the second wealthiest position has seen Bezos and Musk swapping places multiple times in recent months, with last month alone witnessing 13 changes in rankings. Prior to March, Musk had mostly held the position, but challenges such as staff layoffs and reduced Tesla sales have impacted his standing. Currently, Bernard Arnault, the chairman of LVMH, holds the title of the world's richest man with a net worth of $206.9 billion.

Bezos, who is in a relationship with journalist Lauren Sanchez, resides with her in Florida. In 2019, he finalized his divorce from his ex-wife Mackenzie Scott after 25 years of marriage. Bezos is now just $4.5 billion away from reclaiming the top spot as the world's richest individual.
