K-Electric introduces a user-friendly tax certificate feature on its KE Live App, streamlining tax processes and enhancing customer convenience through digital solutions.

K-Electric, a leading power utility company in Pakistan, has recently launched a user-friendly feature on its KE Live App that enables customers to effortlessly obtain their tax certificates with just four simple clicks. These certificates encompass sales tax for industrial or commercial clients, advance income tax for residential users, and withholding tax certificates for net metering customers. This initiative is part of K-Electric's ongoing efforts to modernize its services, enhance operational efficiency, and elevate customer satisfaction by leveraging technology and innovation.

The newly enhanced KE Live App now offers an expanded array of services, eliminating the necessity for customers to physically visit service centers by providing a seamless digital solution. Users can conveniently carry out various tasks such as applying for new connections, requesting name changes, and receiving real-time power supply updates from any location.

For residential customers who are non-filers, a 7.5% tax is applicable on electricity consumption exceeding PKR 25,000 per month. Industrial and commercial customers are taxed based on their electricity usage. All taxations on customer bills strictly adhere to the Income Tax Ordinance and Pakistani regulations, with distribution companies being responsible for the collection and remittance of these taxes to the Government.

Active taxpayers have the option to seek exemption from Advance Income Tax via the KE website if their account particulars align with their CNIC information. This exemption also extends to tenants whose CNIC address matches their KE Bill details. Customers are encouraged to utilize the company's website and social media channels for additional support, as K-Electric remains committed to delivering a seamless and convenient customer experience through digital solutions.

K-Electric's introduction of the tax certificate access feature on the KE Live App signifies a significant step towards enhancing customer convenience and streamlining tax-related processes. By leveraging technology to simplify procedures and provide easy access to essential documents, K-Electric is demonstrating its commitment to customer-centric service delivery and operational excellence.
