LG Energy Solution has partnered with Analog Devices, Inc. to improve its battery management total solution for electric vehicles. This collaboration involves ADI providing advanced battery management integrated circuits and jointly developing algorithms to accurately measure internal battery cell temperatures. The primary objective is to advance fast-charging technologies by leveraging ADI's expertise in impedance measurement.

Impedance, which is the resistance of an electrical component to alternating current and voltage, plays a crucial role in understanding battery performance. ADI's Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) technology, combined with innovative BMIC, enables precise impedance measurement at controlled frequencies.
