The Pakistan National Pavilion in Chengdu introduces a new initiative to promote Pakistani beef in Southwest China, showcasing a 500kg batch for sampling. The successful sampling results in a distributor pre-ordering 2 tons of beef, indicating promising market potential and aiming to enhance bilateral trade relations between Pakistan and China.

The Pakistan National Pavilion in Chengdu, China, recently introduced a new initiative to promote Pakistani beef in Southwest China. The pavilion showcased a 500-kilogram batch of heat-treated Pakistani beef as samples for wholesalers and distributors in Yunnan, Guizhou, and Sichuan provinces. Despite the relatively low import value of $514,252 for Pakistani beef in the first quarter of 2024, the product has garnered significant interest among distributors in the region.

Following the successful sampling, a distributor has already pre-ordered two tons of Pakistani beef, indicating a promising market potential for this product. Plans for the future include expanding imports based on market response and establishing collaborations with Pakistani suppliers to meet the growing demand in China.

The Pakistan National Pavilion in Chengdu, inaugurated in 2023, serves as a vital platform to showcase various Pakistani agricultural and cultural products, facilitating business interactions for market entry and penetration. This strategic initiative aims to not only promote Pakistani beef but also to enhance bilateral trade relations between Pakistan and China.
