Pakistan's Push for Energy Independence

Pakistan is currently focusing on increasing its domestic production of petroleum products to alleviate the financial strain caused by expensive crude oil imports. Pakistan has opened bidding blocks and is actively encouraging global companies to participate in exploration activities within the country. The government is simplifying the investment processes and making information on oil and gas exploration more accessible to attract foreign investments in the sector.

Malik also pointed out the potential of Pakistan's abundant renewable energy resources, particularly the decreasing costs of solar energy. The government is committed to accelerating oil and gas exploration efforts and promoting the use of renewable energy sources to enhance the country's energy independence.
