The State Bank of Pakistan is organizing a seminar to celebrate UN MSMEs Day, emphasizing support for MSMEs through collaborative efforts for inclusive growth and poverty alleviation.

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) is gearing up to host a seminar dedicated to Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) on Thursday, June 27, 2024. This event is in honor of the United Nations MSMEs Day, which recognizes the vital role played by MSMEs in promoting inclusive economic growth, generating employment opportunities, and reducing poverty.

During the seminar themed 'MSME Finance: Catalyst for Inclusive Growth,' the SBP and financial institutions will reiterate their commitment to supporting and boosting the growth of MSMEs by ensuring increased financing opportunities. To mark the significance of the UN MSMEs Day, special events will be organized across the country, including in 16 field offices of SBP-Banking Services Corporation. These events will serve as a platform for key MSMEs, banks, and regional trade bodies to collaborate and form partnerships aimed at driving MSME growth.

Furthermore, financial institutions will highlight the importance of this day through social media campaigns, events at various offices, and advisory clinics tailored for MSMEs.
