Balochistan Government to Recruit 9000 Teachers for Education Reform

The education sector in Balochistan is set to witness a significant transformation as the provincial government has announced plans to recruit 9,000 teachers. This initiative, as stated by Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind, aims to enhance the quality of education in the province and address the pressing issue of teacher shortages in various schools.

During a press conference held at the Chief Minister Secretariat, Shahid Rind emphasized that the recruitment will be conducted under a contract policy based on merit. To further combat cheating and ensure a fair examination process, the provincial government has decided to implement several measures. Administrative officers will be appointed as superintendents in examination centers instead of teachers, and CCTV cameras will be installed in 430 centers across Balochistan. Additionally, the Frontier Corps will be involved to maintain security and order during examinations. Any unauthorized individuals found near examination centers will face legal action, reinforcing the government's commitment to a transparent and fair recruitment process.

In the first phase of recruitment, approximately 4,000 contract teachers will be hired, with an additional 3,891 teachers expected to be appointed based on interviews conducted by Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University. Following this, the second phase will commence, which will see the recruitment of the remaining 9,000 teachers. The government is also looking to improve the salary packages for these contract teachers, encouraging them to dedicate themselves fully to their teaching responsibilities.

Shahid Rind assured that the government is committed to maintaining merit throughout the recruitment process. Any candidate found guilty of presenting fake degrees or engaging in illegal activities will face disqualification from government jobs for three years, along with potential legal consequences.
