Chief Justices Promoted to Supreme Court of Pakistan

The Lahore High Court Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan is on the verge of being promoted to the Supreme Court of Pakistan. This development comes after the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) approved three nominees to fill vacant positions in the apex court. The JCP, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa, has also given its unanimous consent for the elevation of Chief Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi of the Sindh High Court (SHC) to the Supreme Court.
