A suspected drug peddler, Muhammad Arif alias Kalia, was apprehended by Tandojam police after an encounter. The operation highlights the commitment of law enforcement in combating illegal drug trafficking.

In a recent operation carried out by the Tandojam police near Matiari link road, a suspected drug peddler was apprehended following an encounter. The police had received a tip-off regarding the presence of wanted drug peddlers in the vicinity, prompting them to conduct a raid.

During the operation, the suspects attempted to escape and resorted to firing at the police officers. As a result, one suspect, identified as Muhammad Arif alias Kalia, sustained injuries and was subsequently captured. It was discovered that Kalia was in possession of a pistol at the time of his arrest.

Further investigations revealed that Kalia was a known drug dealer with multiple First Information Reports (FIRs) filed against him. The office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh had listed him as a wanted criminal prior to his apprehension.

Following his capture, Muhammad Arif alias Kalia was taken to Liaquat University Hospital for medical treatment. The police operation serves as a significant step towards curbing drug-related activities in the region and ensuring the safety of the community.
