Police Team Apprehends Criminals in Burewala Operation

In Burewala, a police team successfully apprehended four alleged criminals involved in the kidnapping and torture of a police head constable during a recent dacoity attempt. The incident occurred on April 27, 2024, when the criminals targeted Constable Ghulam Raza Dogar. Following intensive operations, the police team, accompanied by the CIA Incharge, located the suspects at Pul-100/eb in the precincts of PS Sheikh Faazil on Tuesday.

Upon spotting a suspicious silver Wagnor with four individuals on board, the police attempted to stop the vehicle. However, the suspects attempted to flee, leading to a confrontation. The armed men opened fire on the police team, injuring Constable Mahar Bilal. In response, the police returned fire in self-defense and managed to arrest all four suspects, three of whom sustained injuries during the exchange.

The injured parties, including the alleged criminals Imran Ali, Shahbaz, and Javed, along with Constable Bilal, were promptly taken to THQ Hospital Burewala for necessary medical treatment. The fourth suspect, Muhammad Afzal, was apprehended unharmed at the scene. The police have initiated a case and commenced investigations into the matter.
