An accountability court in Islamabad restrains Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi from criticizing state institutions. Court emphasizes security protocols for cipher documents in ongoing legal proceedings.

In a recent development, an accountability court in Islamabad has issued an order directing former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi to refrain from making critical remarks against the army and judiciary. The court also instructed the media to avoid highlighting any 'political or inflammatory' statements made by the accused. This decision came as a response to Imran Khan's provocative comments against state institutions, which were deemed to disrupt judicial decorum and impede the dispensation of justice.

Furthermore, the court urged all parties involved in the case to abstain from making any political or inflammatory remarks that could disturb the court's proceedings. Journalists were also advised to adhere to regulatory guidelines and refrain from publishing narratives targeting state institutions and officials, especially on sub judice matters.

Meanwhile, during a separate hearing of the cipher case at the Islamabad High Court, it was noted that the government was employing 'pre-partition' protocols to safeguard confidential documents. The court observed that some of the documents dated back to the pre-partition era and emphasized the importance of maintaining security protocols for classified information.

As the legal proceedings continue, questions have arisen regarding the handling of cipher documents and the return of copies by the accused. The court has adjourned the hearing until April 30, awaiting further clarification on the matter.
