On November 6, 2024, police teams successfully apprehended nine individuals linked to various criminal activities, including drug peddling and the possession of illegal firearms. This operation highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to maintain public safety and uphold the law in the capital.

The police conducted coordinated raids across several areas, including Golra, Industrial Area, and Khanna police stations. During these operations, they arrested five suspects: Awais, Sohail, Ghulam Haider, Firoz Khan, and Shakir Khan. Authorities recovered four 30 bore pistols along with ammunition and a substantial quantity of drugs, specifically 505 grams of ice, from the suspects' possession. This seizure is a testament to the police's commitment to eradicating drug-related crimes and illegal weapon possession.

In addition to these arrests, four absconders were also taken into custody from various locations throughout the city within the last 24 hours. The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad Police, Raza, emphasized the importance of these actions, stating that the police are dedicated to ensuring the safety of citizens and their property. He reassured the public that no one would be permitted to disrupt the peace of the community.

Protecting the lives, property, and dignity of citizens remains the top priority for the Islamabad Police. The DIG urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to their local police stations or the emergency helpline, "Pukar-15." This call for community cooperation is crucial in the fight against crime, as it fosters a safer environment for everyone.

The recent arrests and recoveries by the Islamabad Police serve as a reminder of the ongoing battle against crime in urban areas. It is essential for citizens to stay informed and engaged in their communities, as collective efforts can lead to a significant reduction in criminal activities. By working together, law enforcement and the public can create a safer, more secure environment for all.
