Yesterday, a tragic incident unfolded in Muzaffargarh as an explosion at a scrap godown led to the untimely deaths of two individuals. The owner of the godown, Mazhar Hussain, now faces serious charges of multiple murders following the unfortunate event.

The incident took place at the scrap shop, where two laborers, Arshad and Muhammad Latif, were working. Arshad, aged 40, tragically lost his life on the spot due to severe burns sustained in the explosion. The second victim, Muhammad Latif, aged 30, was rushed to a nearby hospital but, unfortunately, could not survive his injuries.

Following the explosion, the bodies of the victims were taken to the rural health center in Sanawan. The authorities, including the Sanawan Police Station and Civil Defence, promptly responded to the scene on Darra Road Sinwan.

While the exact cause of the explosion is yet to be determined, initial investigations point towards the presence of explosive materials in the store as the trigger for this devastating incident.
