The Director of Operations at the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) in Sindh, Imdad Hussain Siddiqui, has called upon all District Disaster Management Authorities (DDMAs) in the province to implement comprehensive measures in anticipation of the upcoming flood and heavy rain season. Emphasizing the need for proactive steps to protect lives and infrastructure, Siddiqui highlighted the critical importance of preparedness.

Addressing officials at a workshop, Siddiqui stressed the urgency for all DDMAs in Sindh to adopt robust mitigation strategies aimed at minimizing the impact of floods and heavy rains. The primary objective remains ensuring the safety and well-being of local communities, with a focus on enhancing disaster resilience.

Underlining the significance of early readiness and effective response mechanisms to address the anticipated weather challenges, Siddiqui disclosed that the PDMA, in collaboration with IOM and UNOCHA, has initiated MSRNA Training as part of the Information Management and Assessment Preparedness program.
