A delegation from the Pakistan Provincial Services Academy Peshawar (PPSAP) recently paid a visit to the Traffic Headquarters in Islamabad. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize the ninth junior command officers with the operations of the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) and to strengthen ties between the two institutions.

Upon their arrival, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad, SSP Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, along with other officers. This visit was conducted in accordance with the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, emphasizing the importance of such interactions.

During the tour of the Traffic Headquarters, the delegation received a detailed briefing from SSP Traffic Muhammad Sarfraz Virk. They were introduced to various aspects of ITP's operations, including the central system, modern technological digital one-window operational halls, and other key sections. The delegation gained insights into the critical role played by ITP in traffic management, field operations, and the implementation of the e-challan system.

SSP Traffic underscored the commitment of ITP to providing essential services to citizens, such as facilitating the process of obtaining driving licenses and ensuring public safety through advanced technology. The delegation also learned about the 24/7 Police Khidmat Markaz, which offers a range of services to the public, and the deployment of digital smart vans to provide learner permits to students at educational institutions.

Expressing their admiration for the modern technical systems employed by ITP, the delegation conveyed their gratitude to SSP Traffic Muhammad Sarfraz Virk and his team for the informative and successful visit.

The visit of the Pakistan Provincial Services Academy delegation to the Islamabad Traffic Headquarters served as an educational opportunity for the junior command officers to understand the workings of the Islamabad Traffic Police. Such interactions between academic institutions and law enforcement agencies contribute to a better understanding of traffic management practices and the use of technology for public safety.
