PTCL Group collaborates with Atlas Honda to enhance road safety through specialized motorcycle training for employees in Pakistan.
In a significant move towards enhancing road safety in Pakistan, PTCL Group, the country's foremost telecommunication services provider, has partnered with Atlas Honda Ltd. This collaboration is marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which highlights PTCL's dedication to promoting safe commuting practices, particularly for motorcyclists. The initiative aligns seamlessly with the Group's ongoing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives, aiming to create a safer environment for all road users.
The signing ceremony took place at the Atlas Honda Limited office in Lahore, where Taimoor Khan, Group VP HSE & Sustainability at PTCL & Ufone 4G, and Zafar Iqbal, GM After Sales at Atlas Honda, officially signed the MoU. This partnership is set to introduce specialized “Training of Trainers” (TOT) sessions, which will be conducted by certified trainers from Atlas Honda. These sessions are designed to equip PTCL’s field staff, who depend on motorcycles for their daily commute, with essential safety skills.
The training will encompass a wide array of topics, ranging from fundamental bike handling techniques to advanced road safety protocols. By focusing on these critical areas, the initiative aims to instill a proactive safety mindset among PTCL employees, thereby enhancing their awareness and significantly reducing the risks associated with on-road travel.
Moreover, this collaboration is a testament to PTCL Group’s unwavering commitment to employee well-being. By fostering sustainable activities that not only benefit employees but also contribute to the welfare of the community, PTCL is setting a benchmark for corporate responsibility. Employees participating in the TOT program will be empowered to spread the message of safe riding, amplifying the initiative’s positive impact across the region.
As the event concluded, both parties expressed their enthusiasm for the potential of this partnership to make roads safer for everyone. This initiative not only reflects a commitment to safety but also serves as a reminder of the importance of responsible riding practices. In a country where motorcycle usage is prevalent, such training programs can play a crucial role in reducing accidents and promoting a culture of safety on the roads. Ultimately, the success of this initiative will depend on the collective efforts of all stakeholders involved, ensuring that the message of safe riding resonates far and wide.
