Security Forces Rescue Abducted Child in Balkh Operation

The Ministry of Interior recently announced the successful rescue of a child who was abducted in Mazar-i-Sharif, Balkh province, a week ago. The child, who was in grave danger, was saved by the 888th National Battalion of Balkh, operating under the General Command of Special Forces, through a well-executed tactical operation. The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of $300,000 for the child's release, setting a deadline for June 3rd. The situation was critical as failure to meet the ransom demand would have put the child's life at risk.

Acting swiftly, the security forces managed to intervene just in time, leading to the successful rescue of the child and the apprehension of five kidnappers. Unfortunately, during the operation, one of the kidnappers lost his life in a confrontation with the security forces. The captured individuals will now face legal proceedings as they are handed over to the judicial authorities for further investigation.
