Security forces conducted a successful joint intelligence-based operation in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Tank district, resulting in the elimination of three terrorists, including key ringleaders Azmat, Karamat, and Rehan. The operation, led by security forces, was in response to the recent abduction of a district and sessions judge in South Waziristan district.

The slain militants, identified as Azmat alias Azmati, Karamat alias Hanzla, and Rehan, were actively involved in various terrorist activities in the region. Notably, they were linked to the abduction of Sessions Judge Shakirullah Marwat, who was kidnapped near a village on Dera Ismail Khan’s Tank Road. Fortunately, the judge was safely recovered without any concessions made to the abductors, thanks to the intervention of a local jirga.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) emphasized the unwavering commitment of security forces to eradicate terrorism from the country. The successful operation underscores the dedication of the security forces in maintaining peace and security in the region.
