The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing the agriculture and livestock sector in Pakistan to drive sustainable growth and economic development. This dedication was emphasized during a recent visit to the Center of Excellence for Olive Research and Training (CEFORT) and Ghulam Rasul Farm, where USAID officials highlighted the enduring partnership between the US and Pakistan in these crucial sectors.

One of the key focuses of the visit was the integration of technology and value addition in dairy farming to boost productivity and ensure long-term sustainability. The USAID-supported milk pasteurization facility at Ghulam Rasul Farm serves as a prime example of how innovative business strategies and effective implementation can lead to lasting success.

Ghulam Rasul Farm, a leading milk producer globally, continues to expand its operations and product range, showcasing the positive impact of USAID's initiatives in the region. Additionally, US Consul General Kristin Hawkins praised the efforts of the Barani Agriculture Research Institute (BARI) in promoting olive cultivation, particularly following USAID's support in establishing CEFORT and advancing the olive sector in Punjab.

The meeting with Deputy Commissioner Chakwal Qurat-ul-Ain Malik further underscored the US Government's unwavering commitment to fostering economic growth and sustainability in Pakistan's agricultural sector. The collaborative efforts between the US and Pakistan aim to drive progress and prosperity in the region, setting a strong foundation for future development.

The ongoing support and initiatives led by USAID in partnership with key agricultural institutions in Pakistan are instrumental in driving sustainable growth, enhancing productivity, and promoting innovation in the agriculture and livestock industry. These efforts not only benefit local farmers and businesses but also contribute to the overall economic development of the country. With a focus on technology integration and value addition, the future looks promising for Pakistan's agricultural sector, thanks to the enduring partnership between the US and Pakistan.
