Accused in Child Molestation Case Shot Dead in Attock

An accused involved in molesting a child met a fatal end in Attock when his accomplice shot him dead during a confrontation with the police near Attock police station. The incident unfolded when Saeed Muhammad reported his three-year-old son missing, leading to a search operation by DPO Attock Ghayas Gul. The child, who had been kidnapped and sexually assaulted, was later released by the accused who then fled the scene.

Following a tip-off, the police raided a hideout where the accused and his accomplice were found. A confrontation ensued, resulting in the death of Qadeer Ahmad, the accused wanted in the child molestation case. The police are now on the lookout for the unknown accomplice who managed to escape.

In other police actions, individuals involved in theft, cheque dishonour, drug peddling, and gambling were apprehended in separate incidents. Notably, former Provincial Minister Jahangir Khanzada highlighted the Punjab government's commitment to improving infrastructure, as evidenced by the groundbreaking ceremony for a new link road in Asghar village. The 3.5 km-long road, costing Rs 15 million, aims to enhance accessibility for the village residents, with strict instructions for timely completion and quality standards.
