She expressed these beliefs during a casual conversation with journalists while being held at Adiala Jail.

Having been sentenced to 14 years in prison in a gift repository case alongside Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi initially stayed in a room at Bani Gala, which served as a sub-jail. Although the couple was later acquitted in that case, they faced additional legal hurdles, including a conviction in the Nikkah Iddat case just before the general elections.

Furthermore, an accountability court in Islamabad granted bail to Bushra Bibi in a corruption case involving £190 million. However, she remains in custody due to her conviction in the Iddat case.
