On May 9, 2024, Engr Amir Muqam, the Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs & Gilgit Baltistan and States & Frontier Regions, strongly denounced the disturbing events that unfolded on that day. He labeled the incidents as a malicious plot against the nation, expressing deep sorrow over the attack on Jinnah House and military sites. The minister emphasized the disgrace brought upon the martyrs and commended the Pakistan Army for its continuous sacrifices in maintaining national peace, acknowledging the valor of the armed forces despite facing adversaries.
