HDA's Gulistan-e-Sarmast Project Progress Review

Hyderabad Development Authority (HDA) is making strides towards addressing the housing needs of low-income individuals with the introduction of the Gulistan-e-Sarmast residential project. The Director General of HDA, Pervaiz Ahmed Balouch, emphasized the project's aim to provide homes for those without adequate shelter during a recent visit to various sites, including Gulistan-e-Sarmast Kohsar extension and Gulshan-e-Quaid Housing scheme.

During the visit, Balouch directed officials to prioritize essential amenities such as water supply and road infrastructure to ensure the successful implementation of the project. He specifically highlighted the importance of completing the under-construction Husri pumping station and settling tank/water reservoir near Habib Farm promptly.

Key personnel, including Project Director Housing Junaid Ahmed and Director of Planning Zafar Jatoi, were present during the inspection. The team briefed the Director General on the progress of development works across different schemes, noting that a settling tank with a capacity of 5 million gallons is nearing completion and will serve as a crucial water reservoir for the Sarmast Housing Scheme and the entire Kohsar zone.

With 90% of the reservoir's construction already finished, Balouch urged for an acceleration in the project's pace to meet the designated timeline for completion. The commitment to providing sustainable housing solutions for the underprivileged remains at the forefront of HDA's agenda.
