A district court in Islamabad reserves verdict on Imran Khan and PTI leaders' acquittal petitions related to Azadi March cases. PTI lawyers argue lack of evidence and improper FIR lodging.

A district and sessions court in Islamabad has reserved its verdict on the acquittal petitions filed by former Prime Minister Imran Khan, along with PTI leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Faisal Javed. These petitions are connected to two cases arising from the party's Azadi March and were lodged at Aabpara police station. The hearing, presided over by Judicial Magistrate Yasir Mehmood, witnessed PTI lawyers Sardar Masroof Advocate and Amina Ali presenting arguments in support of their clients' acquittal.

Sardar Masroof argued that the FIRs were not lodged by the appropriate authority and suggested that even if the trial proceeded, a conviction was improbable due to the prosecution's lack of substantial evidence.

The acquittal petitions filed by Imran Khan and the PTI leaders pertain to cases stemming from the Azadi March organized by the party. The cases were registered at Aabpara police station, and the legal proceedings have been ongoing in the district and sessions court in Islamabad.

The decision on the acquittal petitions remains pending as the court has reserved its verdict. The arguments presented by the PTI lawyers highlight the legal complexities surrounding the cases. The outcome of this legal battle will have significant implications for the former Prime Minister and the PTI leaders involved.
