Imran Khan directs PTI to initiate political dialogues

Imprisoned Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken a new approach to ease current political tensions in Pakistan. He has directed his party members to start discussions with contacts both inside and outside Parliament. This move aims to reduce conflicts and promote stability in the country.

Recent reports suggest that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership will engage in talks with non-Parliamentary political parties, while PTI legislators will focus on strengthening relationships with parties in the ruling coalition.

This strategic shift comes after Khan's meeting with Chief Justice of Pakistan, Qazi Faez Isa, where the Chief Justice advised Khan to actively participate in parliamentary affairs to address Pakistan's challenges and drive progress. Khan, who has been detained since August last year, expressed his concerns about facing political persecution after being removed from power in April 2022.

In response to these developments, a three-member committee from PTI has been formed to initiate discussions. KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will lead the talks with various stakeholders through informal channels. The PTI's goal is to support the government in achieving political and economic stability while also working towards reducing tensions. The party plans to negotiate on a range of issues, including matters concerning Senate and National Assembly committees.

Imran Khan's decision to pursue dialogue and cooperation with different political entities reflects a positive step towards resolving conflicts and fostering unity in Pakistan. By engaging in discussions and seeking common ground, the PTI aims to contribute to the country's progress and harmony.
