Imran Khan discusses ongoing consultations for PAC chairman nomination amidst internal party controversies. Accountability Court judge records statements in the £190 million NCA scam case.
Imran Khan, the incarcerated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding chairman, revealed on Monday that discussions were ongoing regarding the nomination of a candidate for the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman. Khan mentioned that the consultation process would be finalized by Tuesday. Initially, MNA Sher Afzal Marwat was nominated for the PAC chairman position, but further deliberations are taking place.
Responding to queries about internal party controversies, Khan expressed frustration over being hindered from consulting with party leaders. When asked if Sher Afzal Marwat was the final choice, Khan stated that a definitive answer would be provided post-consultation completion. Emphasizing that no final decision had been made yet, Khan assured that the PAC chairman's name would be confirmed by Tuesday.
During the hearing of the Al-Qadir Trust case, Accountability Court judge Nasir Javed Rana recorded statements from four additional prosecution witnesses in the £190 million National Crime Agency (NCA) scam.
