Jaffar Khan Mandokhail Sworn in as Balochistan's 24th Governor

Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has been sworn in as the 24th governor of Balochistan, succeeding Abdul Wali Kakar. The oath-taking ceremony was conducted by Chief Justice High Court Justice Muhammad Hashim Kakar, in the presence of Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and other dignitaries.

Born on December 26, 1956, in Quetta, Mandokhail has a background in politics dating back to 1974 when he entered through student politics. He has held various ministerial positions, including education minister, finance minister, and home minister in the past.

Following his appointment, Governor Mandokhail expressed his commitment to act as a liaison between the federal government and the province, aiming to address the challenges faced by Balochistan. He highlighted the need for improved governance within the province.

Regarding the potential fencing of Gwadar, the governor stated his lack of awareness but acknowledged the importance of security measures if implemented.
