Maulana Fazlur Rahman of JUI-F voices concerns over Parliament's decline, plans movement for reform to ensure political stability and transparency in Pakistan.

Maulana Fazlur Rahman, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), recently voiced his worries regarding the diminishing role of Parliament in a press conference held at Jamia Ubaidia. He stressed the crucial need to uphold the Constitution and announced plans to launch a movement in response to the current situation.

Rahman highlighted the decreasing significance of Parliament and revealed that the JUI-F is commencing a movement to tackle this issue, anticipating a strong public reaction. He declared that a million individuals would commence a march on June 1 from Muzaffargarh, underlining that dissenters had no other viable option.

Expressing concerns about the recent riots on May 9, Rahman cautioned that prolonged political instability could result in the complete breakdown of the system. He criticized what he described as 'minority rule' and questioned the allocation of constitutional seats to the People's Party, despite not being the ruling party.

Furthermore, Rahman criticized the Election Commission for its inaction and called for institutional reforms. He urged lawmakers to address election-related issues to ensure a fair and transparent electoral process.

Maulana Fazlur Rahman's stance on the diminishing importance of Parliament and his call for constitutional adherence and institutional reforms highlight the pressing need for political stability and transparency in Pakistan. His proposed movement aims to address these critical issues and mobilize public support for upholding democratic principles.
