Nisar Khuhro, President of PPP Sindh, strongly criticizes MQM-P for divisive tactics in Sindh, demanding transparency and emphasizing unity for the province's betterment.

In a recent development, Nisar Khuhro, the President of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh, has strongly condemned the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) for its purported efforts to create divisions within the province of Sindh. Khuhro's criticism stemmed from statements made by MQM-P during a press conference, where he accused the party of attempting to sow discord in the region.

Khuhro specifically called out the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to disclose any undisclosed agreements with MQM-P concerning the appointment of the Sindh governor. He referenced historical instances of MQM-P's past endeavors to establish a separate entity named Jinnahpur, supported by seized maps from its precursor organization.

Furthermore, Khuhro expressed disapproval of MQM-P's recent advocacy for a separate administrative secretariat for Karachi, interpreting it as a tactic to fragment Sindh. He questioned MQM-P's shift from previously supporting the quota system to now opposing it while being part of the PML-N-led federal government. Khuhro accused MQM-P of reviving divisive politics reminiscent of the eras of former leaders Pervez Musharraf and Ziaul Haq, stressing the importance of providing equal job opportunities for all residents of Sindh, including the Urdu-speaking community.

Khuhro demanded transparency from PML-N regarding any agreements with MQM-P related to the governance of Sindh, aligning with a prior understanding between PPP and PML-N that the governorship would alternate between the two parties. He urged MQM-P to cease its efforts to create discord in the province and highlighted PPP's commitment to inclusivity by showcasing the party's history of diverse representation, featuring prominent figures like Hakim Said, Jamiluddin Aali, and Kamal Azfar.

The ongoing tensions between PPP and MQM-P underscore the complex political landscape in Sindh. As the debate over governance and representation continues, it is crucial for all parties involved to prioritize unity and inclusivity for the betterment of the province and its residents.
