PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan declines negotiations, alleges election rigging, and criticizes ECP. PML-N offers reconciliation as political tensions persist in Pakistan.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has firmly declined any formal invitation for negotiations from the incumbent government, as confirmed by incarcerated PTI founder Imran Khan. Speaking outside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, Barrister Gohar stated that PTI would only consider talks if a public invitation is extended. He emphasized that the party is against engaging in any secretive discussions with the current administration.

During the hearing of the cipher case against the former premier, Gohar highlighted that Khan’s legal team faced challenges in presenting evidence due to time constraints. Additionally, he defended Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, stating that she is not linked to the Toshakhana case and suggested that the charges against her are a tactic to pressure the PTI founder.

Expressing doubts about the recent by-elections, Gohar alleged pre-planned results in Punjab seats and criticized the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for not ensuring a fair electoral process. PTI plans to stage peaceful protests against the alleged rigging and has called on the Supreme Court to address their concerns regarding Form 45 discrepancies.

On the other hand, PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah proposed a reconciliation offer to Imran Khan, emphasizing the need to address the country’s economic and political challenges through cooperation. Despite PML-N's recent electoral victories, PTI remains steadfast in its stance, asserting that it is not opposed to reconciliation but is focused on upholding its rights.

The political landscape in Pakistan continues to be marked by tensions between PTI and PML-N, with both parties standing firm on their positions. As the nation grapples with economic hardships and security concerns, the willingness to engage in dialogue and find common ground remains crucial for stability and progress.
