Sahibzada Hamid Raza of SIC threatens assembly resignation if justice is not served to Imran Khan. Opposition Leader Omar Ayub Khan plans resolution condemning police cases against PTI leadership, escalating tensions in Pakistan politics.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) backed Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) Chairman Sahibzada Hamid Raza issued a stern warning to the government, threatening to resign from the assemblies if justice is not served to former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Raza emphasized that if Imran Khan, the founder of PTI, does not receive fair treatment, they will not hesitate to vacate their seats in the assemblies.

Hamid Raza urged PTI leadership to consider resigning from the assemblies and take to the streets in protest if necessary. He declared his willingness to be the first to resign from the National Assembly in support of Imran Khan and suggested giving the government a timeframe of three to eight weeks to meet their demands.

Meanwhile, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub Khan announced plans to introduce a resolution condemning the alleged fabrication of police cases against PTI leadership. Ayub highlighted that a false FIR was lodged against him and his colleagues following a peaceful protest for Imran Khan, accusing authorities of manipulating the legal system at the behest of the Chief Minister of Punjab.

Ayub recounted a troubling incident where his house caught fire, and despite calling for help, the police and rescue services arrived late, citing difficulties in locating the address. He criticized the alleged corruption within Punjab Police and Islamabad Police, attributing their actions to external influences.

In light of these developments, tensions are escalating within the political landscape of Pakistan, with PTI allies and opposition members alike expressing dissatisfaction with the treatment of Imran Khan and the handling of protests by the authorities.
