The coalition government criticizes PTI for engaging in talks exclusively with the military, sparking controversy. PML-N and PPP leaders condemn PTI's approach, emphasizing the need for political unity and upholding democratic principles amidst political unrest in Pakistan.

Leaders of the coalition government have criticized the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) for their decision to hold talks exclusively with the military establishment, labeling it as a double standard. The PTI's announcement to engage in discussions with the military leadership instead of the government has sparked controversy within the political arena.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart Khawaja Saad Rafique expressed disapproval of PTI's approach, stating that seeking negotiations with the military while advocating for civil supremacy showcased inconsistency in the PTI's stance. Rafique highlighted what he perceived as a pattern of behavior from PTI leader Imran Khan, accusing him of portraying contradictory positions on political freedom and negotiation strategies.

On the other hand, PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah criticized PTI's alleged pursuit of power through the establishment rather than through political means. He emphasized the importance of political parties uniting to uphold constitutional mandates and restore political stability in the nation.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Information Secretary Faisal Karim Kundi accused the PTI of inviting military interference in politics by expressing a preference for engaging solely with the army chief and the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) director general. Kundi underscored the PPP's longstanding opposition to military involvement in political affairs and urged the PTI to engage in dialogue with political opponents rather than relying on external support.

PTI leader Shibli Faraz highlighted the need to establish a framework for negotiations amidst the current political unrest, emphasizing the importance of defining the terms and settings for discussions between the PTI and the establishment. Meanwhile, PTI Information Secretary Raoof Hasan reiterated the party's readiness for talks with the establishment to clarify constitutional roles and limit interference in political matters.

In conclusion, the political landscape in Pakistan remains tense as parties navigate complex relationships with the military establishment while striving to uphold democratic principles and constitutional mandates.
