PTI Leader Accuses Former Member of Betrayal

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat has raised allegations against former PTI member Fawad Chaudhary, claiming that Fawad played a dual role during a regime change. Marwat accused Fawad of acting as a messenger for then-army chief General Qamar Jawed Bajwa, casting suspicion on Fawad's involvement in the removal of PTI founder Imran Khan.

PTI's Information Secretary Raoof Hasan announced Fawad's expulsion from the party for aligning with another group, emphasizing that Fawad lacked the authority to comment on PTI affairs. Marwat, a PTI MNA, rebuffed Fawad's assertion of following Khan's directives to join another party, denouncing it as untrue.

Marwat expressed doubts about Fawad's motives, accusing him of working against the party's interests. He dismissed Fawad's legal issues as a facade and suggested that Fawad's arrest was a tactic to rejoin PTI. Marwat criticized Fawad for speaking against the party despite not being invited.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has consistently blamed Gen Bajwa for engineering the regime change that led to his government's downfall. Marwat disclosed that Khan has sought a meeting with him, which Marwat intends to attend upon his return to Pakistan.
