Rana Sanaullah of PML-N defends the appointment of Ishaq Dar as deputy prime minister, refuting nepotism allegations and addressing political tensions amidst power struggles in Pakistan.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah has stepped up to defend the federal government's decision to appoint Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar as the deputy prime minister, dismissing allegations of nepotism by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Sanaullah refuted claims of the PML-N turning into a family-centric party, emphasizing that Dar's appointment was a strategic move to honor his capabilities rather than familial ties.

Addressing concerns within the party for not appointing Dar as the finance minister, Sanaullah acknowledged a sense of 'bitterness' but highlighted that the decision was made to recognize Dar's contributions. He asserted that the move was aimed at politically honoring Dar through the deputy premiership.

Furthermore, Sanaullah revealed that discussions regarding his own ministerial role would take place after Nawaz Sharif's return from China. He also responded to JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman's criticisms of the government, inviting the PTI to prove its majority and assume governance.

In response to Fazlur Rehman's announcement of organizing a 'million march' against the government, Sanaullah assured that the JUI-F would not face any crackdown and expressed willingness to engage in dialogue to address differences.

As tensions escalate between political factions, Fazlur Rehman's call for public demonstrations and the PML-N's defense of key appointments underscore the ongoing power struggles within Pakistan's political landscape.
