Senior PPP leader Kaira refutes rumors of government inclusion, while PM Shehbaz plans cabinet expansion and PPP considers Punjab role. Political landscape in Pakistan evolves with potential alliances and government roles.

Senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira has refuted rumors circulating about his party's potential inclusion in the government. The speculation arose following a meeting between Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal and Kaira, along with Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti. Reports suggested that efforts were being made to persuade PPP to join the federal cabinet under the PML-N leadership. However, Kaira clarified that the meeting primarily focused on discussing development projects in his constituency, dispelling any notions of immediate government collaboration.

On a different note, sources have disclosed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's intentions to expand the federal cabinet post-budget and have extended an invitation to PPP to formally join the government. The PM's objective is to incorporate prominent political figures from PML-N and its allies into the cabinet. Ongoing discussions are in progress, with the final decision resting with PPP's Central Executive Committee.

Following the recent elections, PPP initially chose not to align with the PML-N coalition but extended support to Shehbaz as prime minister. More recently, PPP has shown interest in participating in the Punjab government if offered a substantial role. Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani has announced the party's readiness to join Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif's cabinet, provided they receive adequate representation in the province.

The political landscape in Pakistan continues to evolve as parties navigate potential alliances and government roles. While rumors may circulate, official statements from key figures like Qamar Zaman Kaira shed light on the actual intentions and priorities of PPP. As discussions progress and decisions are finalized, the political dynamics in the country are poised for further developments.
