CM Shah highlights pivotal role of IDEAS 2024

The 2nd Steering Committee Meeting of IDEAS 2024 witnessed Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah underlining the pivotal role of IDEAS as a platform for fostering global peace, stability, and prosperity. This event, slated to occur from 19-22 November 2024 at the Karachi Expo Centre, aims to facilitate commercial exchanges among delegates, trade visitors, defense officials, and manufacturers from Pakistan and beyond.

During the meeting, attended by provincial ministers and key officials, discussions revolved around the logistics and arrangements for IDEAS 2024. CM Shah emphasized that hosting the 12th edition of this event signifies Pakistan's dedication to technological advancement and the enhancement of its strategic relations on the international stage.

IDEAS, an event organized biennially by the Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO) since 2000, serves as a global platform for defense manufacturers, entrepreneurs, R&D specialists, and policymakers to foster cooperation and knowledge sharing in defense collaboration. The event also serves as a catalyst for commercial exchanges and partnerships.

DG DEPO Maj General Asad Nawaz outlined the exciting features of IDEAS 2024, which will include cutting-edge defense technology demonstrations, international seminars, and business engagements. A special event is also scheduled at Sea View (Nishan-e-Pakistan) on November 21, 2024, exclusively for the residents of Karachi.
