The Makkah Health Cluster provided essential healthcare services to over 6,897 pilgrims during the Hajj season, focusing on medical assistance, health awareness, and effective management strategies to ensure pilgrim well-being and safety.

The Makkah Health Cluster has been actively delivering essential healthcare services to pilgrims during the Hajj season. From the beginning of Dhu al-Qi'dah to the 1st of Dhu al-Hijjah, over 6,897 pilgrims have received medical assistance at the emergency departments of affiliated hospitals. These services are part of the Ministry of Health's dedicated efforts to ensure the well-being of all pilgrims.

During this period, a total of 2,034 pilgrims visited healthcare centers, where medical professionals performed six open-heart surgeries and 68 heart catheterization procedures. Various therapeutic and diagnostic operations were carried out to address the health needs of pilgrims. Additionally, 160 kidney dialysis sessions were conducted to support the health requirements of the pilgrims.

Health awareness teams engaged with more than 220,000 pilgrims through electronic platforms, digital screens in the Grand Mosque areas, and on-ground visits in Makkah. The teams focused on educating pilgrims about crucial health topics and promoting overall well-being throughout their pilgrimage journey.

Moreover, 805 pilgrims were admitted to hospital wards, with 176 cases requiring intensive care unit admission. Medical professionals also performed 23 endoscopies to address specific medical conditions. Notably, the effective health management strategies implemented during the pilgrimage season resulted in only two reported cases of heat exhaustion.

The Makkah Health Cluster's unwavering commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services to pilgrims during the Hajj season has significantly contributed to ensuring the health and safety of all individuals undertaking this spiritual journey. Through their dedicated efforts and comprehensive approach to healthcare delivery, the Ministry of Health continues to prioritize the well-being of pilgrims, reflecting their commitment to excellence in healthcare provision.
