Pakistan Takes Strong Stance on Safety of Citizens Abroad

Recently, the Foreign Office of Pakistan has taken a strong stance in response to the violence that occurred in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, resulting in injuries to more than a dozen Pakistani students. The Pakistani government has expressed serious concerns over the safety of its citizens abroad, particularly in light of recent violent incidents involving foreign nationals in Bishkek.

During a meeting with the Charge d’affaires of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Pakistan, Melis Moldaliev, the Director General of the Foreign Office, Aizaz Khan, highlighted Pakistan's worries regarding the reported violence against Pakistani students in Kyrgyzstan. Islamabad emphasized the importance of the Kyrgyz government ensuring the safety and security of Pakistani citizens residing in the country.

In response, the Kyrgyz envoy expressed regret over the incidents and pledged to conduct a thorough investigation to hold those responsible accountable. The Pakistani Embassy in Kyrgyzstan has set up emergency helplines and is providing support to the affected students and their families.

Ambassador Hasan Ali Zaigham from Pakistan is actively coordinating with local authorities to ensure the well-being of Pakistani nationals in Kyrgyzstan. The Foreign Ministry's Crisis Management Unit has been mobilized to assist Pakistani citizens in Kyrgyzstan, with dedicated contact numbers and email addresses available for support.

The Pakistani government's swift response to the violence against its students in Kyrgyzstan demonstrates its commitment to safeguarding the well-being of its citizens abroad. By engaging in diplomatic dialogue and providing necessary support, Pakistan aims to ensure the safety and security of Pakistani nationals in Kyrgyzstan and uphold international standards of protection for all individuals residing in foreign countries.
