IDEA and TEVTA collaborate to host a Job Fair in Peshawar, featuring 30 companies and initiatives to empower youth through employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.

Initiative for Development and Empowerment Axis (IDEA) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) recently joined hands to organize a Job Fair at the Government Technical & Vocational Centre for Boys in Gulbahar, Peshawar. The event, held on a Wednesday, saw the participation of around 30 companies from various sectors across the country, including renowned names like Pepsi, KPBoIT, Durshal, Toyota, Honda, Fixit, SMEDA, Akhuwat, Nayatel, and Abid CNG. A total of 2500 youth actively took part in the Job Fair.

During the event, Professor Mohammad Saeed Ahmad, the Principal of the Government Technical & Vocational Centre, Gulbahar, highlighted the fair's objective of raising employment awareness among both past graduates and current trainees. He emphasized the importance of providing guidance to the youth and enhancing the institute's collaboration with local industries. Ismael, the Programme Manager of IDEA, mentioned that besides offering training opportunities, the organization also conducts similar events to facilitate youth employment and industry access.

Furthermore, Mian Asad Kakakhel, the Senior Vice President of the Bank of Khyber, shared the bank's initiative of providing youth with credit on favorable terms to kickstart their own businesses and support their families financially. Mohammad Mohsin from the Small & Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) briefed the participants on the authority's credit provision plans for empowering youth to establish their enterprises.
