The 135th Canton Fair in Guangzhou, China, sets new records with its vast exhibition area, diverse offerings, and innovative trade formats, attracting global attention and fostering economic cooperation.

The 135th China Import and Export Fair, known as the Canton Fair, has kicked off in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, showcasing a record-breaking exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters. With 28,600 companies participating in the export section and 680 in the import section, this year's fair is the largest to date.

Over 144,000 overseas purchasers from 215 countries and regions have pre-registered, indicating a significant increase in participation from various regions. Notably, there has been a surge in attendance from the US, OECD countries, Middle Eastern nations, Belt and Road Initiative participants, and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership member countries.

The event has attracted 288 leading enterprises and institutions, marking a 21.5% increase from the previous session. Moreover, more than 5,500 national-level high-tech enterprises and manufacturing champions will be featured, along with a vast array of new products, green technologies, and intellectual property licensed products.

In a bid to enhance trade opportunities, the fair has introduced new formats such as a cross-border e-commerce pilot area and an overseas warehouse display area, covering 3,000 square meters. This initiative aims to facilitate international trade and promote innovative business practices.

The Canton Fair, held biannually, stands as China's premier comprehensive trade show, attracting global attention and fostering economic cooperation. With its diverse offerings and strategic initiatives, the fair continues to serve as a vital platform for international trade and business development.
