Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi emphasizes industry-university collaboration at pharma career fair

The collaboration between industries and universities to develop a curriculum that aligns with market needs was emphasized by Vice Chancellor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi at the eighth annual pharma career fair 2024 held at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. The event aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industries, providing students with practical experience and job opportunities through partnerships with various health and pharmaceutical sectors.

During his address, Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi highlighted the importance of creating a curriculum that enables students to meet market demands and enter the workforce with relevant skills. The career fair featured over 42 stalls from health services, pharmacies, and pharmaceutical industries, offering immediate employment and internships to numerous students. Dean Dr Muhammad Haris Shoaib reiterated the commitment to promoting cooperation between universities and industries by organizing such career fairs regularly and providing students with opportunities to gain practical experience through internships in healthcare settings.
