The 'Digital Safar' event, led by Dr. Khalid Siddiqui, focuses on empowering Pakistan's youth through digital literacy and skill-based education to drive economic growth and global competitiveness.

In a recent event called 'Digital Safar' organized by Tech Valley Pakistan, the Federal Minister of Education and Professional Training, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, highlighted the critical role of guiding Pakistan's youth towards economic revival. With a youth population of around 150 million out of a total of 240 million, Dr. Siddiqui stressed the need to provide quality education and skills to empower the youth to reshape the country's economy.

Dr. Siddiqui noted that many IT graduates from Pakistan are compelled to seek opportunities abroad due to limited prospects at home. He emphasized the importance of offering skill-based education that aligns with the modern requirements of countries like Japan, Germany, and Spain, enabling Pakistan to enhance its development and compete globally.

The 'Digital Safar' initiative, attended by government officials and industry leaders, aims to empower students aged 9 to 14 and train teachers across Pakistan. By 2025, the program targets to reach more students and educators, fostering digital literacy and responsible online behavior.

Jazz CEO, Aamir Ibrahim, reiterated the company's commitment to bridging the digital gap in Pakistan by providing free internet access and devices for digital education initiatives like Digital Safar. Tech Valley CEO, Umar Farooq, highlighted the vision of creating a digitally literate Pakistan where students become innovative creators, emphasizing the impact of strategic collaborations in achieving this goal.

Google Pakistan's Country Director, Farhan S. Qureshi, praised the initiative for empowering young individuals with essential digital skills, nurturing critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
