The Federal Board of Revenue extends office hours for tax collection while the UN food agency faces challenges in delivering aid to conflict-affected areas.

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced that its offices will be operational on June 22-23 (Saturday and Sunday) for tax collection purposes. This decision applies to all Large Taxpayers’ Offices (LTOs), Medium Taxpayers’ Office (MTO), Corporate Tax Offices (CTOs), and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs). The aim is to provide convenience to taxpayers and ensure a seamless process for the collection of duties and taxes.

On the other hand, the UN food agency has reported that the ongoing Israeli conflict in Gaza is hindering the delivery of food aid to the region. The situation has raised concerns about the accessibility of essential supplies to the affected population.

It is crucial for tax authorities to facilitate taxpayers by extending office hours for tax collection. Simultaneously, the international community needs to address the challenges faced in delivering vital aid to conflict-affected areas promptly. Ensuring smooth tax processes and humanitarian aid delivery is essential for the well-being of individuals and communities.
